Acquisition positions the golf industry’s leader in cloud-based technology
for sustained growth and allows for enhanced delivery of product research, development and support
foreUP is very excited to announce that we’ve signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Battery Ventures, a global investment firm that has ownership arrangements with numerous technology-focused companies in the golf space. T
“With the recent surge in play and increased interest in the game, the golf industry has reached an important crossroads,” says Evan Teshima, CEO of foreUP. “We at foreUP recognized this unique opportunity and decided now was the ideal time to seek an equity partner who shared our vision for helping golf course owners and operators run better businesses. Our acquisition allows us to accelerate our plans for growth, drive product research and development, and expand the breadth and depth of revenue-enhancing solutions and services that foreUP can deliver.”
Under the agreement, we at foreUP will operate as an independent entity under the umbrella of Clubessential Holdings, a fully owned subsidiary of Battery Ventures that specializes in membership and club management solutions for the private club, college athletic, health and fitness, and parks and recreation markets. The foreUP brand, as well as our corporate leadership, product development team, and sales, marketing, and support staffs, will remain unchanged.
With the addition of foreUP, the Clubessential Holdings portfolio of companies will collectively serve more than 10,000 customers, nearly 3,000 of which are public and private golf clubs and courses. The Clubessential Holdings consortium also includes ClubReady, Vermont Systems, PrestoSports and Clubessential.
